Abstract
Troilo will describe the local political power structure and dynamics in the Philippines, characterize elections related threats, analyze previous elections-related violence in 2004 and 2007, and make projections for the 2010 elections. Most critically, Troilo will assess what these developments mean for businesses and international organizations operating in the Philippines.
